Dark Phoenix Clone × Black Widow × Red Velvet Cake

A 2025 hybrid combining the dark, velvety look of Dark Phoenix with the striking DocBlock pairing of Black Widow and Red Velvet Cake.

Dark Phoenix is known for its bronze-purple emergent leaves that mature into deep olive to nearly black tones and is now widely used as a label for plants with this distinctive look. In this cross, those dark papillilaminum-like traits meet the bold venation of Black Widow and the rich red influence of Red Velvet Cake. Together, they create a line with exciting potential for dark colour, strong contrast, and beautifully textured foliage. Note: Some deformations are visible. They have been caused by a lack of space inside my propagation boxes - it has nothing to do with the plant itself.
